Founded in 1999 by Stan Van Nice and Dennis Muller, MicroTrain has helped more than 10,000 individual and corporate students strengthen their skills, earn valuable certifications, and prepare for new career opportunities.

Today, MicroTrain specializes in helping experienced professionals—including people affected by layoffs and career transitions—develop current, employer-recognized skills in project management, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cloud computing, cybersecurity, information technology, business analysis, process improvement, and other high-demand fields.

WIOA Funded Career Training

MicroTrain is an Illinois Eligible Training Provider offering WIOA-approved training programs for qualified job seekers.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act may help eligible Illinois residents pay for career training and professional certification programs. This can be especially valuable for people who have been laid off, are receiving unemployment benefits, or need new skills to successfully transition into another position or industry.

Live Instructor Led Training

Our students learn directly from experienced instructors in a structured, interactive environment.

Live instructor-led training gives students the opportunity to ask questions, work through practical examples, learn from classmates, and receive help when concepts become difficult. It provides the accountability and personal interaction that are often missing from self-paced online courses.
