Outline

Module 1 - Introduction

This module covers the core principles of the procurement process, from supplier evaluation, selection, and quality management to developing strategic vendor partnerships and measuring performance with key KPIs.

Module 2 - Supplier Development

This section deals with the practical application of procurement, covering services and capital purchases, lead time management, MRP fundamentals, and drafting and interpreting key purchase contracts like MSAs and SLAs.

Module 3 - Services Purchasing & CI

This module focuses on creating a competitive advantage through advanced techniques, including global sourcing, strategic cost management, detailed spend analysis, and leveraging technology and IT in the supply chain.

Module 4 - Costs, Systems & KPI's

he final module covers the integration of procurement with business finance, purchasing ethics, and the tools for continuous improvement, such as Lean supply management and performance management, to drive organizational value.

Prerequisites

Course Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to attend the CPCM preparation course. Individuals may enroll regardless of their education, experience, or certification status.

Eligibility Requirements to Sit for the CPCM™ Certification Exam

To be eligible for the Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM™) exam, candidates must meet the following requirements established by NCMA:

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree
  • Have five (5) years of work experience in contract management or a related field
  • Complete a minimum of 120 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) or Continuous Learning Points (CLP)

Please note that while anyone may attend the course, meeting the above requirements is necessary to apply for and sit for the CPCM™ certification exam.
