A+ certification is an internationally recognized validation of technical knowledge and customer satisfaction. The certification consists of two modules with one exam per module. A combination of lecture and hands-on labs will help students achieve two goals. Goal one is to learn and retain the necessary information to pass both exams. Goal two is to use the labs to acquire practical hands-on experience enabling the student to enter the workplace with confidence. CCNP - Optimizing Converged Cisco Networks (ONT)

Microtrain is one of the leading Cisco training organizations in all of Chicago Our CCNP program is designed to give students the knowledge, and the skills to be successful as a Cisco network professional.  This is a single module of the CCNP.  The ONT 642-845 exam will certify that the successful candidate has important knowledge and skills in optimizing and providing effective QOS techniques for converged networks. The exam topics include implementing a VOIP network, implementing QoS on converged networks, specific IP QoS mechanisms for implementing the DiffServ QoS model, AutoQoS, wireless security and basic wireless management.

CCNP -  Implementing Secure Converged Wide Area Networks (ISCW)

The exam covers topics on Cisco hierarchical network model as it pertains to the WAN, teleworker configuration and access, frame mode MPLS, site-to-site IPSEC VPN, Cisco EZVPN, strategies used to mitigate network attacks, Cisco device hardening and IOS firewall features.

CCNP – Routing

Microtrain is one of the leading Cisco training organizations in all of Chicago Our CCNP program is designed to give students the knowledge, and the skills to be successful as a Cisco network professional.  This is a single module of the CCNP.  The BSCI 642-901 exam will certify that the successful candidate has important knowledge and skills necessary to use advanced IP addressing and routing in implementing scalability for Cisco ISR routers connected to LANs and WANs. The exam covers topics on Advanced IP Addressing, Routing Principles, Multicast Routing, IPv6, Manipulating Routing Updates, Configuring basic BGP, Configuring EIGRP, OSPF, and IS-IS.

CCNP – Switching

The exam includes topics on Campus Networks, describing and implementing advanced Spanning Tree concepts, VLANs and Inter-VLAN routing, High Availability, Wireless Client Access, Access Layer Voice concepts, and minimizing service Loss and Data Theft in a Campus Network.

Financial Keyboarding with Business Development/Accounting

This instructor lead program prepares trainees for entry level or reentry into the workforce. Course includes instruction in keyboarding with emphasis in developing speed keying in numeric data entry, business development, customer service and diverse accounting perceptions in QuickBooks Accounting software. Data keyers are critical to all professional industries where entering data is important.  Keyers work with highly technical material. They plan and type complicated statistical tables, combine and rearrange materials from different sources and prepare master copies.  Our program will prepare you for a new career in the professional world!

Database Administrator – MCTS SQL 2005

Microtrain’s Database Administrator – MCTS SQL 2005 program is designed for individuals in the database administration field.  This program covers the relevant knowledge and skills necessary to successfully attain Microsoft’s MCTS – SQL 2005 Administration certification.  With this certification students will be able to pursue positions as Database Administrators, Data Analysts, and Database Managers.

Developer /Database Administrator – MCTS SQL 2005

MCSA – CompTIA Certification

This program combines our Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator program (which is part of our trademark MCSE Program) with one of the three CompTIA certifications we offer.  Choose either A+, Network+ or Security+.  Our instructors guide our students through the basics of computer networks, and administering Microsoft networks covering all the essential information required to pass the 4 exams to achieve the MCSA certification and the CompTIA certification.  This is the minimum certification required to be a network administrator.

The program covers the relevant Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and also SharePoint!  The program also teaches students Microsoft Project and QuickBooks to ensure marketable skills in a variety of industries.  Basic Accounting principles are covered in addition to basic keyboarding skills.  Additionally we cover a variety of topics around Navigating Corporate America including customer service, e-mail etiquette, business writing and more.  Finally, we combine our “best in class” PMP/CAPM training and our CompTIA Network+ certification for basic networking principles.  This program ensures that our students have all of the relevant skills necessary to be successful in office management roles of any kind!
